To soften and add complexity, it has spent 18 months aging in French oak barrels. This full-bodied wine offers layers of concentrated flavors of cassis, blackberry, black cherry, and ripe plum, with a hint of light oak. All these flavors unite to form a long, smooth, and harmonious finish.

This is a classic, rich Cabernet Sauvignon with a dark purple color and expressive aromas of black cherry and spice. On the palate the wine is intense, luscious and full-bodied with a rich core of berry and earthy flavors, and there are hints of spice and vanilla in its long harmonious finish. It makes an excellent companion to beef, lamb, venison and most cheeses.
100% Cab Sauvignon
Opaque purple in color, this Estate Cabernet offers aromatics of ripen blackberries, plum, herbs and cacao. Medium in body and light tannin, it captures the essence of Maipo Valley fruit. In the mouth, the flavors continue the blackberry-blueberry themes with hints of cassis and black olives. Its lingering finish echoes the black fruits and ends on a tangy cherry brightness. With time in the glass, this Cabernet unfolds beautifully in the glass.

The deep-hued Cycles Gladiator Cabernet Sauvignon is rich and lush, with intense red and black fruit character. 100% harvested fruit from 18 year old vines. Fermented and aged for 10 months in stainless steel tanks and another two months in bottle. Dark, violet red. Aromatic profile features fresh and dried cherry plus dried plum, with intriguing notes of dark chocolate and mint. On the palate, the wine is rich, well balanced and approachable with a long, smooth finish.

Sourced from the east side of Paso Robles with the added complexity of a few west side sources. The free run wine and the wine from pressing are kept separate and after a brief time to settle, all the wine goes to barrel, where the malolactic fermentation is kicked off. Matured in a mix of French and American oak for 12 months before blending and bottling. Aromas and flavors of red berries and vanilla with a ripe, full finish.
95% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Petit Verdot
The grapes were harvested from 8 different vineyard sites. The wine was aged for 4 months in a combination of new and used French oak. The 2008 has a purple-red color with good depth and bright youthful hues. The aromas feature ripe blackberries, fresh boysenberries and plums. The wine's bouquet delivers cocoa powder, hazelnuts with a hint of smoke. On the pallet, flavors of succulent juicy olallie berries and creamy vanilla predominate and are joined by a waft of juniper. The flavors are supported by well integrated tannins that contribute to a long, smooth, and elegant finish.
89% Cab Sauvignon and 11% Petite Sirah
The fruit comes from the Phillips family own vineyard located at the winery. Aged in French Oak barrels this Cab gives aromas of fresh cranberry, clove, and luscious licorice. Dried cherries and all spice mingle with soft tannins on the palate.

Mark Lange’s vineyard south of town possesses a very distinctive terroir expression which reminds us of nothing so much as German chocolate cake with a raspberry glaze. These flavors invited a marriage with sweet oak vanilla, toffee and espresso aromas from medium- and heavy-toast French oak from the forest of Alliers. The balanced finesse one encounters in its structure possesses nevertheless a firm reductive strength which suggests longevity and invites the opportunity for bottle development. On the other hand, the wine offers today splendid aromatics to linger on the palate and enter into playful dialogue with other elements of your dinner.

The 200 acre Arete Vineyards (Greek, meaning the culmination of all things good), straddles the “Top of the Hill” at Radar Hill near Othello, WA and was planted in 1983.
