Syrah, Grenache, Mourvedre and Cinsault Louis Bernard’s Côtes-du-Rhône is characterized by a good percentage of Syrah grapes. This gives the wine its profound colour, specific nose and complex structure. The grapes are only harvested after tasting the berries to ensure optimal maturity. 100% Marselan A very unique wine made from the Marselan grape - which is a cross between the Grenache and Cabernet Sauvignon varietals. It's ripe, sweet and smoky - lots of blackberry and black cherry fruit laced with sweet toast and spice notes. Blackberry and black cherry fruit forward style with vanilla, tobacco and plum notes and a bit of herbs on the finish.
42% Grenache, 36% Shiraz and 22% Mourvedre The name ‘Stump Jump’ pays homage to a significant South Australian invention – the Stump Jump plough. As well as clearing the land around McLaren Vale, it was adopted worldwide in the late 19th century because of its ability to ride over stumps and gnarled roots, saving valuable time and energy.
The nose is full of ripe and juicy red fruits and fresh plums mixed with dark cherry, rhubarb and cardamon. The palate is approachable with juicy fresh red berries, mulberry and a hint of pomegranate. Zinfandel, Petite Sirah and Carignane Lot 53 is the latest release of Old Vine Red, our trademark blend that was first released almost 30 years ago in the early days of Marietta. Lot 53 carries on the tradition in stride with loads of rich and deep berry and plum and peppery spice as well as hints of mild spicy and toasty oak, dusty earth, and a light gamey quality that add to the complexity. The color is deep ruby and purple, and the mouthfeel is forward, dense, and pleasantly rustic and ripe in a Zin-like style.
